Today i went to the hospital for an Allergy test at the Ear, Throat and Nose hospital in Kings Cross... I had to fill out loads of forms and then went for my test they dropped 12 Allergens on my arm and then broke the skin so they would go in to my skin and had to wait 15 minutes and then check back, while i was waiting i had to have my blood pressure check and they was normal, height and weight.
I also had to do several breathing tests throw my mouth and one through my nose, which was quite fun... Went back to sit down and nurse check back with me and i have a 100% allergy to dust mites, which is not fun and i started to feel really funny so i had to take some Antihistamine. I was really hot and bothered by this time which did not help.
The hospital was really hot and gave me a headache and made me feel sick.. I hate feeling so hot... which is another part of my rash as well, which i have to go back to the Dr's for which is separate for the tests i am having today..
While the reaction i had to have a Lung Function, which checks to see how much air is in your lungs and you have to blow in to a tube which is screwed into the machine and you have to blow all the air out of your lungs. Which is really hard as it makes you feel really dizzy and i had to sit down after three goes.. Nurse said i was really good at it.. I was red as a beetroot.
Went to sit down for about 45 minutes to see the specialist and i was feeling not too got by this time and just wanted to go home.... Went to see the specialist he didn't say much just said to take Antihistamine if i have an allergic reaction in the future and if i get the itches to just to take Antihistamine. He also said that Antihistamine take be take everyday, which seems to be very extreme but if i need it i have to take it. So i have to carry tablets with me all the time and can take up to three a day or when necessary.
The specialist sent me for a blood test to check my Thyroid Antibodies, which i was not impressed about as i felt like crap by this time as i had been in the hospital for about three and a half hours.....
So I went downstairs to the Blood Test department and waited about 5 minutes. Went in the little room and had to squeeze my hand so that the nurse could find a vain, which she could in my right arm but she stuck the needle in anyway and moved in about in my arm and i wanted to throw up, she was really hurting me so i shouted STOP i am gonna be sick, So she took the needle out and gave me a few minutes. And started on my left arm which she got a vain first try. After she had taken blood i felt sick again and threw up in the sink and passed out.. It was gross and made me feel even more sick. The nurse was useless but she did go get me some water but that tasted crap as well.... My mum was with me so she looked after me. Thank God i wasn't on my own...
After that we went to reception to cool me off a bit as i was really hot and then headed off for the train station and got back to Barnet at about 5pm i was really hungry as i hadn't eaten since about 11.30am so we went up to McDonald's and i had a burger so i could take some paracetamol as i couldn't take them at the hospital as i was sick and you are not suppose to take tablets on an empty stomach as they can give you ulcers and make you feel sick.
Went to Boots after i had eaten to get some more Antihistamine and then went home... Got home at about 5.30pm and went in and crashed out on the sofa... I felt like shit.. I don't want to go through that ever again.... NO WAY!!!
