Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes are apparently set to tie the knot at the former wartime hideaway of Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.
The couple were reportedly set to marry at George Clooney's villa on Lake Como but it seems they have now chosen to wed at one of Italy's most exclusive hotels, the Villa Feltrinelli which overlooks Lake Garda, according to the Daily Express.
The pair were said to have chosen the location after 27-year-old Katie visited last month with new best friend Victoria Beckham.
The lavish 19th-century building was used by Mussolini during the Second World War while the nearby lake is rumoured to contain his hidden gold.
Sources claim Katie was made fully aware of the history to the building but she "seemed more interested in hearing the likes of Grace Kelly and Isadora Duncan had stayed there".
The historic location, which includes 21 luxury bedrooms, lavish gardens and reception rooms, was once hailed by DH Lawrence as "one of the most beautiful places on earth".
The guest list for the nuptials will include Tom's Scientologist pal John Travolta, George Clooney, Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie.
Tom and Nicole's children, 13-year-old Isabella and 11-year-old Connor, are set to be bridesmaid and best man - giving them a central role in the ceremony - although baby daughter Suri is a bit young to play a major role.
The hotel says it is sworn to secrecy when discussing any of its celebrity clients.
